Icelandic quartet VAR has dropped the video for their single “Run” from their latest album The Never-Ending Year. The video captures their performance chemistry while also emitting a dreamy aura that makes you feel like you’re stepping into a concert in a dream. The ethereal riffs and chest-swelling choruses buoys your adrenalines to stratosphere letting you soak on the blissful thrill:

VAR started off as the solo project of Júlíus Óttar (vocals, guitar, piano) in 2013 and eventually expanded its lineup with his wife Myrra Rós (synths, vocals) and his brother Egill Björgvinsson (bass) along with friends Arnór Jónasson (guitar) and Andri Freyr Þorgeirsson (drums). “The meaning of the name VAR comes from ships entering into the harbor to seek shelter from bad weather out at sea,” said Júlíus Óttar. “The band practices in an old fish plant by the shore in a small fishing village on the south coast. The power and the noise of the ocean is bound to influence you.”
