Melbourne band Telescreen host the coolest outfit photoshoot in new video “Moving On,” directed and designed by National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) students as part of triple j’s 2020 NIDA competition. Contrary to the eye-catching visuals, “Moving On” has a darker theme. Built on dense, shimmering layers of chords, “Moving On” is a bursting anthem where the quintet analyzes a failing relationship – specifically between politicians and public. Watch below:
On the new single, Telescreen commented: “We, as a group, felt as though there was this real disconnect between the actions of Australia’s leaders and the true needs of those affected by the fires. ‘Moving On’ addresses our politicians’ disregard for public opinion, along with their seemingly growing inaction and detachment from issues in order to protect their self-interests.”
“Moving On” is the follow up of the band’s 2019 debut EP Growing Pains. The title track of their EP hit #1 on Hype Machine and has been garnering buzz across the media. The band will be sharing more music as we move towards 2021.
