A roadtrip album

Aussie artist Golden Vessel quenches our wanderlust (that a lot of us have been piling up this year) with his second album colt, out via his own label sumoclic. It’s majestic 11-track odyssey of alternative and electropop tracks that were created while he was on the road for his North American tour in mid-2019. You can feel the chill edginess that wanders throughout the record as Golden Vessel reflects on exploring new places while keeping up with loved ones. The record includes the creative collaboration of his friends such as The Nicholas, Mallrat, Emerson Leif, Akurie, Lonelyspeck, and Rei So La. Check it out:

Speaking of the record, Golden Vessel shared: “colt is a roadtrip album. I started it at home in Brisbane before a busy year of touring my debut album slowshine. A lot of those initial songs were sort of written in anticipation of travelling across America and driving hundreds of hours. I also kept writing whilst touring & travelling and the album sort of picked up a narrative of being away from people you care about, and trying to make the distance & time zone differences work.”
