Sydney-based artist Sam Marks has dropped his new nostalgic single “Eventide.” It’s a breezy piece where Marks reflects back on a previous trip to San Francisco. Built on soaring, glimmering chords, “Eventide” is an upbeat melody where the rippling riffs paired with Marks’ warm voice evoke vivid memories of the past while longing for the company of someone. According to Marks, “It is largely an evocation of my time briefly spent with someone in San Francisco while travelling through California in 2018. The story is one of nostalgia, reflecting on our dreamy evening adventures through the enchanting city, most particularly, walking alongside the water from the Musée Mécanique to the Golden Gate Bridge.”
Co-produced with Callum Howell (Ocean Alley producer), “Eventide” is just a preview of Marks’ upcoming music for next year.
