Canadian born, Brooklyn-based artist Jenny Kern beckons us into a smoky, dreamy soundscape in her latest single “Coming Back For Me.” With her silky vocals, Jenny captures the hefty feeling of loneliness and tries to use that state into a self-empowering one by embracing it. Channeling a form of hypnotic melancholia, “Coming Back For Me” blooms seamlessly and draws you further into a state of meditation:
On her single, Jenny commented: “‘Coming Back For Me’ is a song about solitude. It’s about being alone and learning to be okay with it. Especially during this time, with everything going on in the world. There’s a tension between the inner self and the outer world. How we learn to deal with our emotions, our experiences and our pain.”
Jenny is currently working with producer Andy Seltzer (Maggie Rogers, Chelsea Cutler, ryann) and will be sharing more music soon.
