Norwegian artist Lokoy has unveiled his debut solo record badminton where he flexes his pop muscles. We were first introduced to him as the bassist of the punk-rock group Sløtface, but with this solo venture Lokoy demonstrates a new side of his creativity. This 15-track album is built on a pop canvass where Lokoy experiments with different genre twists and color without restraint. The 24-year-old originally started out as a producer and quickly became the go-to one in the Norwegian scene. He eventually ended up composing his own solo record, unafraid of sharing his different personas and vulnerability across the tracks. The album also features a lineup of Norwegian talent including Nils Bech, Safario, Moyka, Emilie Østebø, VARPU, and Sofus. Check it out:
