Formerly known as the singer/songwriter of the renowned indie band The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Kip Berman is an artist who never ceases to evolve and amuse us with his music. His new project The Natvral is a testament of his talent to adopt and change while tapping into some of the trickiest themes to navigate. Today – as The Natvral – he has released his debut single “Why Don’t You Come Out Anymore?” It’s a fuzzy and melancholically cheery single where Kip boxes you into that awkward moment when you’re reconnecting with an old friend who now wears a wedding band and has graying hair. We’ve all encountered those oh-shit-we-are-aging moments when someone else’s physical transformation starts mirroring the passing time and even our own unwanted reality. Check it out:
The Natvral’s debut album Tethers will be out on April 2nd via Kanine.
