Red Moon Invites Us Into Her Hauntingly Celestial World In “Emotional”

Norwegian artist Red Moon pulls us into the most intimate and vulnerable spaces of her mind in her new single “Emotional.” It’s a slick, lo-fi piece where Red Moon’s croons break down the idea of confrontation and finding ways to reach peace with the other party. Along with the single, the gal has also shared a video for it where she takes us on an otherworldly odyssey filled with equal parts glamour and eeriness. Check it out: 

Speaking of the track, Red Moon shared: “This song is a confrontation between yourself and someone who throws you off balance; like when things escalate in a fight or when it seems like there is no way out of a specific moment. In hindsight, you know things could have been handled differently.

I’m still looking to find that ‘balance’ of finding a safe place for communicating in the midst of a fight. Because in the heat of the moment our emotions cause us to misunderstand each other and ruin what we wanted to accomplish through our fight. It’s accepting what I am feeling and still know it always takes two to want to solve a conflict.”

Joanna-Deborah Bussinger is the mastermind behind Red Moon who has been making waves last summer with her debut single “Dogma.” She released her debut EP Phase I:XI towards the end of 2020 and has been garnering support from the press for her timeless sound.
