Add Lauran Hibberd’s “How Am I Still Alive?” With Lydia Night To Your Existential Playlist
UK artist Lauran Hibberd teams up with The Regrettes’ Lydia Night in new single “How Am I Still Alive?” a song that poses the question we ask ourselves every morning when the dreadful alarm sounds. Life has turned upside down this past year and our existential thoughts have experienced a growth sprout as we’ve stayed locked in the claustrophobic confinements of our homes. “How Am I Still Alive?” is a slacker pop reflection of such madness, offering a soothing melody for you to blast and process wtf happened this past year or so (although it feels like eternity). Hit play:
“The video is a collection of (lockdown available) ideas, a transatlantic home video with animation seemed to be the only way we could get Lydia and I side by side,” revealed Lauran. “It’s based on documenting your every sleepless move (in the home video footage), whilst having your maddest thoughts and dreams (in the animation). I think it summarises how weird it is to live in a shutdown world right now and where our minds go throughout.”
Lauran will be embarking on her UK tour in the fall:
6th October – Deaf Institute, Manchester
7th October – Key Club, Leeds
8th October – The Garage (Attic Bar), Glasgow
10th October – Exchange, Bristol
12th October – Joiners, Southampton
