UK quintet BASH! reminds us to carve out time for self-love in their latest single “Lovely, Smart, and Beautiful.” Coated with glimmering synths and quirky chords, the track bombards you with a massive dose of self-ode as vocalist Amanda Bashmakova’s vocals ingrain your brain with the hypnotic lyrics, “Let them go, and chase the dream.” It also has a smear of 90s shade to it, making it a slightly retro cinematic and bubbly piece:
Speaking about the track, BASH! shared: “‘Lovely, Smart and Beautiful’ was the second song we ever wrote as a group. This is the song that formed the cornerstone of the BASH! sound and it evolved from there. The song is a self-affirmation in times of change and doubts when your vision doesn’t align with the ones who want the best for you.”
Be on the lookout for more drops from the Southampton-based band soon.
