Scottish indie rockers Declan Welsh & The Decadent West capture the contradictory emotions we experience during an apocalyptic event like the pandemic in new single “Another One.” With its swirling riffs and gauzy ambience, “Another One” is a meditative piece that captures the rush of different emotions we’ve experienced during the vulnerable hours of isolation we spent this past year. Check it out:

Speaking of the track, frontman Declan Welsh explained: “‘Another One’ is a song about being far apart from each other, and specifically about the very strange year we’ve all spent indoors. It’s a wee journey, musically and lyrically, and I think the tune sort of reflects the way different emotions are constantly competing in your head when you have too much time to reflect. It’s about boredom, anxiety, fear, aimlessness, hope and looking forward to seeing other people again.”

The track is from the band’s upcoming EP, which will be out this fall. The band will be hitting the road this fall:
