Kunzite, aka NY-based Mike Stroud (Ratatat) and Hawaii/Oregon-based Agustin White, takes us to the sun-kissed land of Venice Beach in their new video “Frosty.” Featuring all-female skate group GRLSWRL, “Frosty” captures the breezy warm vibes of West Coast through its kaleidoscopic textures. From its cathartic buildup to buoyant plunge, “Frosty” is an expansive soundscape that lets its listeners skate through the indulgent summer warmth:

In their own words, “‘FROSTY’ always felt like it flowed with surfing and skating… It’s all about grabbing your board or wheels and just having fun,” noted Agustin. “All of the athletes featured in the video were super supportive and encouraging of one another. You see their different skills on display throughout the video, including roller skaters who have made such a big comeback over the last few years yet, for Black Culture, it’s always been there. The roots of roller skating lie within the Black community and we wanted to honor that.”

“Frosty” is from their upcoming album Visuals, which will be out this summer via Lowly./Wilder.
