LA-based artist JAiRUS brings back the magic of 70s funk with his latest single “Groove,” a silvery and breezy piece that takes you on a soul-searching dance. Produced by Cole Mitchell, “Groove” aims at boxing its listeners into their happy place, somewhere where they can dance and float (at least mentally) while letting the daily anxieties of life go away. Press play:

In his own words, “As for me, an old soul, I wanted to make a new classic. When people hear ‘Groove,’ I want them to not only feel groovy, but transport them to their happy place.”

JAiRUS grew up surrounded by music – he sang in the church during his childhood and received his classical training at The Duke Ellington School of the Arts and University of Southern California. With his rich background in music, JAiRUS has been honing his craft and showcasing his sonic prowess in unexpected, dance-inducing ways. “Groove” is from his upcoming EP, which he’ll be sharing more details soon.
