Copenhagen-based, Danish-Japanese artist Mina Okabe has finally unveiled hare debut record Better Days, which offers a glimpse into the streams of thoughts of a modern 21-year-old navigating through this bizarre world we live in right now. The 10-track record is a dreamy pop journey that highlights Mina’s optimism and unfiltered honesty through smooth, breezy lens. Press play:
The record comes with her new single “Miss Those Days,” where Mina longs for something or someone who is no longer part of her life. “It’s about friendship –about a close friend of mine. We used to be together all the time but one day she had to move far away and even though we promised to stay in touch everything we had just faded out and disappeared. ‘Miss Those Days’ is about everything you take for granted and the wonder of sudden change,” Mina Okabe explained.
With all the chaos and uncertainty going on, Better Days offers comfort and reminder that everything is just temporary.
