AKA Lui injects us with disco swagger straight out of the party zone of hell in his latest single “Good Company.” Co-produced by Kesmar (Lazywax), the track comes with a video of him and Nahal Donyadideh who acts as the devil that never leaves him. With its retro synths and edgy basslines, “Good Company” takes you spinning with sinful splendor:
“‘Good Company’ hits different to things I’ve done previously. We used a lot of analogue gear this time, it felt like a natural progression from the DIY bedroom productions I was making the last few years. I like that working with Kesmar enabled me to create something that feels more ‘AKA Lui’ than the tracks I was making on my own. He understands the sound and the aesthetic and together we were able to bring that vision to life. It’s an epic new direction for AKA Lui & I can’t wait to share more.”
The track is from his upcoming debut EP, which will be out in 2022.
