NewDad Nail The Frustrations Of Unrequited Romance In “Say It”
Irish quartet NewDad navigate through the emotional anger and frustrations of unrequited love in new single “Say It.” The percussions flood in with breakneck intensity as the band highlights the lack of emotional reciprocity that exists between two people. Through the invigorating hooks, “Say It” keeps you on your toes when you’re in a limbo of uncertainty but unready to leave that person.
In their own words, “‘Say It’ is about unrequited love, about when someone is with you but not really, it’s supposed to capture that frustration you feel when you’re giving someone your all and they’re giving you nothing in return. The fast pace of the song makes it feel like I’m venting which works considering the feelings of irritation and bitterness I’m talking about when you don’t want to like someone but you can’t help it.”
The track is from their upcoming new EP Banshee, which will be out on February 9th. They’ll go on tour in March.
